The Super Research in Finance – SuRF 2026 is an in-person scientific event designed to foster in-depth discussion of frontier research in Finance, with emphasis on quantitative methods, financial econometrics, macro-finance, asset pricing, and computational applications to financial research. Although this is its first edition, SuRF is built upon the strong academic and organizational experience of researchers from Fundação Getulio Vargas.

The event contributes directly to the development of highly qualified human capital by providing graduate students and early-career researchers the opportunity to interact closely with leading international scholars. SuRF has been designed with careful attention to institutional diversity and to the plurality of scientific approaches, bringing together researchers from different countries, academic traditions, and professional backgrounds.

In addition, the event promotes interaction between academia and the productive sector by encouraging discussion of key topics in contemporary financial research with strong potential for practical application in financial institutions, regulatory bodies, and technology companies.
