From Galeão International Airport to FGV
We recommend taking a taxi or using the Uber app.
You can take a taxi outside the terminal. Aerocoop/Aerotaxi has a counter, and the ride to Rio's main areas costs about 70–120 reais. It can be paid by card at the counter or in cash to the driver.
If you prefer to use Uber, follow the signs starting in the baggage claim area. Uber has a dedicated parking area.

Get Around in Rio de Janeiro
Rio has an efficient metro system that connects all the city's main neighborhoods. Each ride costs 7.90 reais, payable with a contactless VISA credit or debit card, or with tickets purchased at station counters. FGV EMAp is located close to the Flamengo station.
Taxis are also safe and not expensive. There are apps that can be used for taxis, such as Taxi99.
Uber is a valid and safe alternative.
