Call for Work Presentations & Workshop Proposals

 

FGV CPDOC invites everyone to participate in the 22nd Conference and to collectively reflect on contemporary Oral History. In accordance with IOHA guidelines, this is a bilingual, English–Spanish event. The Work Presentations are structured around various themes, both traditional and innovative, all of them related to Oral History, including:

 

  • Oral history and digital humanities;
  • Narratives in recorded interviews;
  • Oral history and politics;
  • Oral history and education;
  • Oral history, public health, and pandemics;
  • Oral history, minorities, and social movements;
  • Oral history, gender, and sexualities;
  • Oral history, migrations, and inequalities;
  • Oral history and indigenous and Afro-diasporic communities;
  • Oral history, arts, performances, and sports;
  • Oral history and interdisciplinarities;

 

Submission instructions

 

There are three types of submission: 1. Paper; 2. Video or audiovisual product; 3. Workshop . Read the instructions below before submitting your proposal or its summary.

Please note that each proponent may submit a paper, workshop, or audiovisual presentation by individual submission or, if necessary, co-authorship.

You will need a username and password account to process your submission. In order to create one, click on "GO TO REGISTRATION".

After completing your profile or filling at least all the obligatory fields (marked with *) remember to check the option AUTHOR at the bottom of the page, before clicking on "CREATE".

 

To propose a paper:

- Indicate a title

- Indicate a minibio of up to 50 words;

- Submit an abstract of up to 300 words; 

- Indicate the language in which you will display it (English or Spanish)

- Indicate three to five keywords.

 

To propose an audiovisual presentation:

- Indicate a title

- Submit a summary of up to 500 words

- Indicate a minibio of up to 50 words

- Choose three to five keywords.

- Indicate, inside your abstract, aspects of the format and content of the work to be exhibited and give information on technical-formal aspects of the audiovisual product.

- Send an access link to the material for display.

 

To propose a Workshop:

- Inform workshop title

- Submit a minibio (up to 50 words) of the proponents

- Submit, in the abstract field, the workshop objective and description (up to 500 words).

- Indicate, in the abstract field, target audience and expected number of participants;

 

 

Registration and payment

 

All presenters of work papers and audiovisual products (authors and co-authors), as well as proponents and workshop participants must register at the XXII IOHA Conference. Payment can be made from December 20, 2022, in the event website after selected proposals are disclosed.
