The 8th International Conference on Hydropower Scheduling in Competitive Electricity Markets will be held at FGV EMAp, Rio de Janeiro, from May 26 to 28, 2025 and will bring together academics, practitioners and researchers in Energy, especially in Hydroelectric Energy Generation. In its 8th edition, the first in Brazil, we intend to dedicate special attention to Environmental challenges, Integration of new elements to the Energy Grid, Machine Learning and Optimization techniques.

The conference will be hosted and it is being organized by Getulio Vargas Foundation, established in 1944 with the initial goal of training qualified administrators to work in Brazil’s public and private sectors, FGV transcended the boundaries of education and expanded into the areas of research and information, ultimately becoming a renowned center of excellence and quality.
