Alfredo Noel Iusem
Alfredo Noel Iusem is an Argentine-born Brazilian mathematician.
He earned his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 1981 under the supervision of George Bernard Dantzig.
He has been working at Instituto de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (IMPA) in Rio de Janeiro from 1981 to 2022.
Now he is working at EMAp of Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) as the leader of the optimization group.
